U9-U18 Parent Workshops (Safeguarding & Player Care)

1st Sep 2021

Dear parent/carer,

As mentioned in this season’s inductions, we aim to provide you with a series of parent workshops across the year covering a variety of safeguarding issues. Our first session I am sure will be useful and relevant to you all: Online Safety.

Does your son spend time exploring online?

The internet’s a great place for children to learn, create, chat with friends and family, access information or support and explore fun apps, sites and games. But exploring comes with risks, so it’s vital we know how to keep them safe online.

That’s why we’d like to invite you to join our NSPCC workshop: ‘Keeping children safe online’.

The workshop will:
• Help you understand how kids experience the online world
• Show you resources and tools that could help keep them safe
• Empower you to guide them on their journey

As well as covering online safety generally, the following topics will also be discussed:
• Online bullying
• Gaming
• Parental controls

There are limited spaces for these sessions. To secure a place, please register by e-mailing

For: Parents, carers, family members (this workshop is for adults so please arrange childcare if possible)
Hosted on: Zoom (a link will be sent out once you have signed up)
Date and Time:
Option 1: Monday 13th September, 6:30-7:30pm
Option 2: Wednesday 22nd September, 6:30-7:30pm
Delivered by: NSPCC – Rachel Wallace

Many thanks,
BCFC Safeguarding & Player Care Department
