Parent Webinar - Keeping Your Children Safe Online

8th Feb 2021

Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,

As the pandemic and subsequent lockdown continue, children across the UK are spending more time online.

The internet is supporting virtual learning and much needed entertainment for our young people.

Unfortunately, those who pose a risk to children are also taking advantage of the rise in young people spending more time online. The NSPCC helpline has seen a 60% increase during lockdown in contacts from people  with concerns about children experiencing online sexual abuse.

We encourage you to be proactive in putting safeguards in place to protect your children when they use the internet.

As such we have asked the NSPCC to deliver guidance to you about this. Of course, due to lockdown this cannot be face to face, and so we have organised for this to be delivered via Zoom on Monday 8th February at 5.30pm.

The webinar will last for around an hour.
