SAFEGUARDING

ALL OUR ACTIVITIES ARE GOVERNED BY NATIONAL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION AND RULES OUTLINED BY THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION AND THE EFL.

In addition to the central Club Safeguarding Policy, Birmingham City Football Academy has developed specific codes of conduct to ensure all staff at the Club, and service users are aware of their responsibilities.

Please give us your full support to help prevent risk to all young people and vulnerable adults involved in any activity with Birmingham City FC.

1. Please report any cause you may have to any member of staff.
2. Feedback in relation to your concern can be requested from Danetta Powell, Club Safeguarding Manager.

The FA has commissioned a helpline in conjunction with the NSPCC for individuals who were victims of sexual abuse in childhood within the football industry. The number is 0800 023 2642.

Additionally, if you are worried about online sexual abuse or the way someone has been communicating with you or a young person online, please click here to make a report.

If you are unsure of whom to report your concerns please contact Club Safeguarding Manager, Danetta Powell for advice. She can be contacted by email at danetta.powell@bcfc.com

WHISTLEBLOWING

The Club seeks to conduct its business honestly and with integrity at all times. However, we acknowledge that all organisations face the risk of their activities going wrong from time to time, or of unknowingly harbouring malpractice.

We believe we have a duty to take appropriate measures to identify such situations and attempt to remedy them. By encouraging a culture of openness, inclusiveness and accountability within the organisation, we believe that we can help prevent such situations from occurring.
